    Ive passed the Aws D1.1 in 2g and 3g Tig. But then I got smart and decided welding makes a great hobby, not a career. I passed 2 years ago, couldnt do it now without lots of practice.

    Yup, they put your work in an iron worker and see what breaks first, the weld or the metal.

    That was 1/4 mild steel, 6010 rods, and all but one of those was overhead.

    Yeah, and when your suspension cycles back up, your camber MASSIVELY changes from way positive to neg. Your tire goes from / to \...

    It just seems like the engineers couldn't decide if they wanted IFS or a solid axle so they went with the worst of both worlds.

    It's a cheap and easy way to get gobs of wheel travel. But you typically only see this design in the "stock" classes for a reason.

    But desert racers probably care about their tires more than just about anything.

    You don't run crossover I beams because you're worried about tread or front traction. You run it because you want high speed, high travel stability.

    Sorta like TTB except TTB does an even worse job because the wheel camber is insane for something that expects front traction
