People that complain about state inspections are the same people that bitch on forums about some idiot with shitty tires and brakes crashing into them because they couldn’t stop...

 

Maybe they won't hit your windshield, but they'll hit your paint, or your fogs. My paint is chipped, and my fog light is slightly cracked.

 

Ok I lied. I do know of one.

Body shop repaired a car after a rearend collision and didn’t secure the new bumper cover correctly. It came loose on highway speeds, flew off, causing the person behind to over correct, cross the median collide with a semi. Driver died.

Obviously the body shop was the main liable party.

So in states where inspections are mandatory... are the shops that do the inspections now liable for any accident arising from a safety flaw in a vehicle they inspected?

 

Inspections don't bother me. I don't really care for these little maintenance fees.

I agree with safety inspections, but I hate nitpicky shit like failing an otherwise well-maintained vehicle for aftermarket foglights! I loathe emissions testing.
