Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

That's pretty impressive...mine went on 2 Baja trips including about 2500 miles of dirt plus all the dirt they saw in CA and Nevada. They lasted about two and a half years and 28,000 miles.
What finally killed them was losing the cam alignment nut 700 miles from the nearest Toyota dealership.

Anyone good with wiring up a camper shell with electrical?

Not only talking about a brake light but there are also 2 USB ports, dome lights, and automatic locking mechanism involved too...sent a message to campways but wanted to ask TW too.

If the usb's are for power only then all you need is a fused 12v source and ground. You could do separate curcuits for each one but I'd probably do just one feed and label it "shell power". If you add a 12v socket I'd definitely run that on a separatly fused circuit. Add-a-fuse foe each circuit or if you're going to do much more in the way of electrical mods then an auxiliary fuse/relay panel like a Bussman or Seagate. If you plan on pulling the shell occaisionally then use a plug. Most aftermarket installers don't though.
