    A little something every chance we get.
    OK, TTC, my solar folks really did something today! Great Master Electrician, good helper, and I now have more stickers than @ChadsPride dollar decal table! And since the install was sort of split location (they are master of details), I have a few extra pics. But it's good in the on the roof people come in the AM, and they do the final wire from the roof down to the inverter. So, here I go!
    Best before overall shot I have - the existing electrical panel for the sunroom, behind the rafts, is connected directly to the main on the left.

    20180613_150508.jpg

    Best overall after - sorry, Turk's Cap grew!

    20181003_170455.jpg

    Almost finished Inverter (roof guys have to connect their stuff)

    20181003_170530.jpg

    The new Electrical Panel area. On the right was my panel, where power will now dump IN. On the bottom, PV disconnect, and on the top, the PV Meter.

    20181003_170434.jpg

    And the PV Meter. For a change, everything we see on this one is a GOOD thing. The actual view of metering and direction will come from software in the inverter, so I can see what is doing what and when. Can't wait for that!

    20181003_170441.jpg

    That's it for today kids! Hope they complete tomorrow, and commission ASAP!

    @Kolunatic, YES, wells can be expensive. I bet there is a TW thread for "show me your solar"! And :rofl:I take FAR too many pics, so YES, that is a possibility. This stared in JUNE, first solar power replacements for attic fans, then radiant barrier in the attic, and this project included a re-roof (because it is considered integral to solar if done at the same time), and FINALLY the Solar. Installer "responsible" for all permits and compliance. I signed agreement with city that I am now a Electricity Provided (Less than 50KW). :bowdown:

    @FastEddy59, 25 light years. :cheers:

    I know several people who did foam/spray. Seems not to be the thing. Put a thermometer up there. I don't know. This bunch uses that space foil, though they show the pics of spray. (I guess consumers are not supposed to notice that!) The foil gets stapled to your trusses, and creates a very effective air gap insulation space. My attic temps dropped 15 degrees compared to before, and the ramp up is slower, and cool down is quicker. So was very happy with that decision.

    I’ve had a thermometer up there. It averages about 10-12 degrees hotter than in the house
