No place I know of carries steel cased .223/5.56. I always buy those 420 rd ammo cans at walmart.

 

Are there any independently owned shops that will?

 

Im super low on .223 right now or i would offer.

There's a few spots off of loudon county parkway that are fun. Super muddy, but fun. You should be alright as long as we haven't gotten a ton of rain and I'm in the area almost every Saturday and sunday if you wanna go - except this weekend, the truck is gonna be out. Here are some pics:

That's the truth. When I was in the Roanoke valley, the best gun shop still was shit. $15 for a box of crappy Russian steel cased .223s? No thank you.

Is my truck fucked? Making a weird smell that ranges from burning wax or rubber to charcoal to sweet. And then there's this:




ETA: oil level is normal and it's not over heating.

 

Looks like a valve cover gasket leak (not sure if that’s the correct name) but that’s not a huge deal. Basically just take the covers and old gasket off and put a new one on. Is your engine oil level low?

 

Its for sure a part out. Plus working on it could end in massive internal organ failure. And no one (except @Superman910 ) wants that

 

Oil level is good. And it's not overheating.

Then it’s nothing to fret over. I’d get an engine degreaser and clean it off real good and keep a close eye on it, and see exactly where it’s leaking. If it continues then a new gasket should solve it.

Massive organ failure is bad for business

 

Like others have said, it looks like your valve cover is leaking. A sweet smell is typically coolant. When was the last time you serviced the coolant system (flush, replace hoses, thermostat, radiator cap)? How is your coolant level?

Also, since you have an 06, have you ever changed the hard coolant line that runs from the thermostat housing to the back of the block in the bend of the manifold? On early 2nd gens, it is plastic and prone to failure at the thermostat housing. If it's leaking there, you'll have pink coolant residue behind the PS pump on the driver side of the engine. On later years, they changed it to a metal line, and it's interchangeable with the crappy plastic line.
