@ahspurlock Can you press bearings in and out at your shop? Not looking for the freebie and will pay shop fees...I just want somebody to do it who I know will take their time and do it right on a press. Want to get them in as straight as possible.

I'd like to get in on this if you guys don't mind- thinking about doing an IFS lift in lieu of SAS.

Man, those tires look like racing slicks. Even though my name implies that I like mud, it's just such a PITA to clean up after, granted it would be at one of those coin op DIY booth car wash places but still. Doesnt make it easier to clean up.

Well my offer does stand, however I didn't entirely expect it to turn out as a mod day. I've never messed around under a pre-first gen? Anyway, but the principle is the same and the torque values might be the same too. If your swapping out new UCA's and a complete lift package front and rear, I dont see why not. We'll just need to rent a uniball puller/press from one of the many autoparts stores around here. Depending on whether you're trying to keep the old Uni or replace with a new one that is. I destroyed my old ones when I installed my lift but the way I saw it was that I was replacing them with new hardware and it was my truck, my problems. I tend to err on the side of caution when dealing with others property. Longer you wait, the colder its going to get and my little space heater sucks.

    Fluidfilm.

    That's what you need.

Douse the entire undercarriage with it- I mean EVERYTHING. Inside and out. Don't wear clothes you care about (try to do it on a cooler day, and wear one of those tyvek coveralls and a respirator/safety glasses). You will get covered with sheep squezings (it's literally lanolin- the same stuff in sheep wool).

Get inside everywhere you can, too.

Never worry about rust again- and mud sloughs right off with a gentle water spray.

After having your fun, set a couple sprinklers up under the truck and leave them for a few hours.

This doesn't do a thing about the liquid sandpaper affect of mud on rotating assemblies, but you wont' be cussing about it when you're wrenching and getting mud all over you.

Anyone know who drives the huge SAS'd white Tacoma I saw today? Looked like somewhere about 10" of lift, and lots of bodyroll in the corners.

I saw it crossing the street around ACE Hardware on Redbank Rd about 1130 today. I believe it was a first-gen.

If it’s the same one I’m thinking, it’s been for sale for quite a while.
