For the doors. Its way easier to taje off the panels to access the inside. No need to get the inside of the panel with that stuff

Is it ok to fluid film if you use the car for offroading?

I hear the FF picks up a lot of rocks and dirt, not sure if that will be safe or lead to more rust

    Yes.
And yes, it will pick up some small debris. But it and especially mud will rinse off easier too.

So i did this last year before winter hit. I want to do it again, but the old fluid film is caked in dirt and such. Do i need to clean this off or just spray over everything again?

Hit the truck with powerwash then spray over anything that's left on. Not a big deal..been doing this for 3 years on my trd sport, no rust!

Interesting side note /use for Fluid film. It dissolves rust and loosens threads etc. We had forceps for removing fishing hooks ,of cheap stainless steel in the boat and they tend to rust. After tiring of buying news ones all the time the wife sprayed them with fluid film and put them in a zip lock bag. After a couple days , the rust dissolved off and they rinsed clean .We also sprayed some slightly rusted toilet tank valve fittings a week before removing them . A week later the fittings broke loose with ease that the rust wiped off easily . It makes me wonder it it would loosen any bolts under a truck .

I used *por15 cleaner degreaser* before re applying last fall and it worked amazing.. Dilute with water in spray bottle, spray everything wait a few minutes then pressure wash the old fliud film and all the gunk it collected off..I also just did this to all the suspension components because ill be working on the truck in the next few days. Parts are clean and arent slippery now.

nice video . It shows that it is not as messy as one might think it is . I at first thought it would be dripping everywhere .

My tailgate drips onto the rear bumper when it's hot out and the sun is shining on the tailgate.

    Thanks.

I did the fluid film in early December and it was right before the cold weather arrived. In the next week I will be doing it again- the temperature is currently around 100 degrees, so that might lead to some dripping.

I have heard that an inexpensive lawn sprinkler works well for cleaning the underside before recoating- just let it spray back and forth for awhile, and then move it a 1-2 feet and repeat.

For me, the FF kit with the pro gun was a worthwhile purchase.

No. Spray on as much as you can except exhaust system cuz it will smoke for a few days if you do, but not the end of the world

thanks. the Town has been using some type of pre-treatment before snow storms for the last couple of years and it raises havoc on the undercarriage.
