We use the crap out of Milwaukee cordless at work. At home I like the DeWalt FlexVolt stuff, though I did break the chuck on their drill/hammer drill. I was abusing it though, so can't rightly blame them and it was less than $20 to get it fixed.

i sell Milwaukee all day over Dewalt. The brushless motors in the fuel lineup are great. can't really speak on behalf of ryobi, i haven't seen one in awhile.

I used to use DeWalt, but switched to Milwaukee about 2 years ago. I had 2 DeWalt driver/drills, but that was it. I've been real happy with their M18 Fuel line, and my "cordless" collection has exploded, I now have 11 M12 and M18 tools. Stuff from 3/8" ratchet to 7 1/4" circular saw and work lights, plus the usual suspects (drill/drivers).

In the future Milwaukee is going to be what I get... their impact guns are just too good.

All my tools are either Makita or Bosch. Pretty much just pick a battery system and go with that brand for the rest of your tools so everything is interchangeable.

+1 for makita / hiliti. then dewalt, . my job site only use these makita and dewalt. the dewalt has weird ergo with their tools. pick your battery and start from there. i own both brands too in 18v and 20v. cant really go wrong between the two just depends on your wallet. Milwaukee makes good stuff too especially they have the cordless right angle impact wrench.

Damn, 3.4 rod let loose last night on the 1st gen. Looks like I’ll be in the market for a replacement.
Anyone bought from the importer in Lynwood that advertises on Craigslist?

    Or.....LS swap? (L33)

Damaged the block so its not rebuild able? Or don't care to even bother?

If its the place I'm thinking of I went there a few years ago with a friend. They let us pick through what they had so we found the best looking one. Not sure if they let you do a compression test or not but might be worth asking. I'd go pick it up vs having them ship it though. Wouldn't really say I remember them being either good or bad....they are just an engine importer and filled our needs type deal

My vote is keep it stock while stock is still cheap to fix

I'm not seeing the inaccuracies here. KDSS has definitely provided me with extra beer.
