She a dirty gal. Ordered the oil pump from an auto turbo model as it is the strongest. Since the oil pump and front main seal take the same amount of work to do.

Nah, I don't see any reason to, I can reach everything I need to, the oil pan isn't leaking, just the front main. Oil pumpnis bolted right to the front. Heads are ready to come off I just haven't found a machine shop to clean, lap the valves, and change valve seals for me yet.

I've had feelers out there with a few local sources. I got the call, paid what the man was asking, which was fair. Since I might resell them I don't want to say what I paid. I have the option to buy the rear jump seats and back panel, but don't know much about the fabric choices on earlier trucks.

Is the pattern limited only that I should buy the back seats?

Not much to do to the block, even with the bad HG it has great compression still and the extra clearances from wear is good for boost. If it ends up being warped I'll pull it to be decked, but I'm hoping I don't need to. The bottom end on these stock is good for a bit over 700hp, far more than I plan to put through it.

Should be easier for you to find a machine shop... none of the ones within 100 miles of me won’t even touch a jap engine

Those are fun, very tightly packed so they're a nightmare to work on but damn if they aren't a blast to rip around.

Most of the shops won’t touch anything but v8s. I only found one shop willing to do mine. But they won’t do the line boring and drilling of the head bolts I need done... since I’m going to studs and all... so to lce the engine went
