Tacomas now shoot laser guns after start up...

So my friend just bought a 2018 trd off road three days ago and his truck started making this weird noise after startup, it doesn't always go off but it does do it pretty consistently... anyone seen this before?

 

I wish mine had that.

 

And no, his taco his not a stormtrooper

 

Dealer installed aftermarket security system?

 

no he doesn't have that and the sound doesn't always go off, its intermittent

 

I'm going to tell him to get some red led lights in his grill and quit crying

Does the truck have the back up sensors in the bumper and was it backed up close to a wall or some other object?

 

That’s only activated when you put the truck in reverse

Self-destruct system arming. I'd disable that for daily driving. Toggle switch under steering column.

 

SOLVED, all Tacomas at least from that one specific dealer come with the "SWAT" security system, apparently this one is malfunctioning and the sound is an indication of the truck going out of its pre programmed "geo-fence"
The security system wasn't even paid for and it was active.
