I need to get my stuff gathered to clean out the garage a bit.

:fingerscrossed: that someone wants a gently used 12-15 Super White front bumper cover w/ fogs. Includes crash bar, brackets, and hardware.

Anyone got a line on some decent headlamp assemblies? Ive 'restored' mine a few times and they are still pretty rough. Was looking at Spyder, but the reviews are suspect and my search through the forums pretty much leads to "Get the Tacomabeast Spyders, because regular Spyders Suck". Anyone have them or can debunk the comments on them cracking, melting, sucking a year after purchase?

I think it boils down to people not using silicone to help seal them better, or just suck really bad at sealing them better when they use the silicone.

My friend ended up getting some cheap $125/set black headlights and I ran a bead around the housing/lens. Been a few weeks and they're holding strong in this humid deluge of moisture we've had lately.

I actually told him that we needed to do something on the lenses because of this. Also noticed they're quite flexible (thinner ABS) vs mine and his OEM lights.

He barely drives it compared to his other Chevy work truck. He just went for looks and not longevity. Been like pulling teeth to keep him from buying a 3"+ spacer lift and get him to understand what will happen to his components putting that shit on there.

From what I've gathered here, about Tacoma's, because I once thought I should get a spacer lift, is that it puts abnormal stress on things., when driven off road.
Increased driveline angle, affecting the ring/pinion in the rear, carrier bearing, axle wrap potential, stretched or torn rear brake lines.
Increased over stock angle in the upper BJ, causing them to wear out prematurely and fail.
Increased angle of CVs, wearing out the front diff, hubs, torn boots, vibrations.

Kept on mostly pavement, seems to be okay. But I can still imagine it's affected over time. Likely the same can be said about all our trucks that have full blown suspensions, too, but we drive them other places than the mall or granny's gravel driveway.

Almost all of that is affected with any lift....

The ONLY thing "stressed" with a spacer lift that isnt effected by any other lift is the bottom end of front shocks. Shock travel runs out before suspension travel hits the limit. Shock becomes the bump stop. Rear blocks should be avoided if possible.... As Chris said, ANY lift changes drive line angles....tie rod angles...etc. 99% of claims regarding spacers are 100% bullshit.

They arent the greatest but let's be real about the claims

9 times in 10, spacers will be used with stock shocks. ANY shock that's worn or too light will give a less than stellar ride. And if you're spending the coin for newer/upgraded shocks, why not buy shocks/coils that give you the lift WITHOUT spacers? But the top plate spacer itself does nothing to negatively effect drive angles that a longer strut wont effect angles in the very same fashion.

And that is my concern... Id rather polish the oems every 6 months if whatever replacements I chose would fade out in a year anyway and require the same leg work

Hi, Looking to go a different direction so I'm selling my RTT and bed bars. The RTT was purchased directly from CVT in mid March 2018 and has been used 10-15 times. There are three completely cosmetic issues with the tent and it is otherwise in great working order.

    1. The underside of the floor is slightly dented from the ladder. (this is a known thing that happens)

    2. There is a very small tear in the flap that covers the gap between the fold out panels. This was due to me being careless once when I folded it up. It is not an 'elements protecting' part of the fabric and also doesn't protect against insects, just a flap that covers the seam. Hard to describe. See picture.

    3. The white lettering on the black cover has a few areas where it is flaking away. I haven't had any branches or otherwise abrasion on the top. Purely cosmetic and there are no tears.

Tent comes with an additional non-stargazer awning and vestibule (never used). I have also upgraded quite a bit of the hardware to grade 8 bolts and good nylock nuts.

The relentless fabrication bed bars were purchased around the same time. I used 'rattle can' bed liner to coat them multiple times and have touched them up in a couple places over the past few months. Mainly from when I put the RTT on/off once or twice.

Looking for $1000 obo and am willing to meet within a relatively short distance from Cincinnati, OH - I am not interested in shipping. Check out the pics and let me know if you have questions.
