It's not that it has anything to do with the playoffs, really. Mainly, when that happened there are so many people who gave the classic 'keep your head up, he's a big guy so he can't help it if he hits up high' etc etc. Bullshit. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is very good at waiting for the right time to make a hit when a player is vulnerable. There is a difference of keeping your head on a swivel and getting blasted when there is no way you would be expecting a hit. And Wilson seizes those moments. It's very similar to how Marchand does things and makes them look incidental, when they are 100% intentional. But dudes like that perfect the art of being a scumbag, so it is what it is.

Good night of hockey last night. The 'Cup favorite (lol) Bruins looked flat. Caps looked really strong. Their stars just have chemistry and keep the pressure one. Very impressive. They should be good again. I was excited to see Karlsson last night. He looked good. Feel asleep after 2nd period and was shocked to see the 3rd went how it did. Ducks scored a lot, on very little shots. And that was with some big guns out of the line-up. Gibson looked good. Toronto looked good from highlights. Their 2 studs, starting the season off strong.

 

Tuned into Sportsnet after the Leafs/Habs game and witnessed a full out circle jerk with their panel being the circumference and Auston Matthews in the center. Seriously should have been considered hard core pornography. At first I thought they had a Halloween decoration on the set but it turned out to Brian Burke upon closer inspection.

 

Is that even the slightest bit surprising?

Anyways, some good games last night. Pens / Caps was entertaining. Watched a little bit of Vegas / Philly. I was a little shocked at that one.

Leafs this, leafs that... the broadcast is about 2 western conference teams and the leafs arent even playing that night and all they talk about are the leafs.

I'm not even joking. When the Sens were in game 7 of the conference finals a year and a bit ago and the leafs were outed in the first round and HNIC could not stop talking about the leafs. Seriously? I get that they are one of the bigger fan markets but come on it just gets to the point of being ridiculous.

Leafs are the center of the universe and no other team matters.
