Even though he's a rookie, Mayfield himself turned the ball over five times against the Raiders. There is definite need for improvement. That said, the Browns should have beaten the Raiders had it not been for the worst officiating calls in the league this season. Between ruling Carr's obvious and textbook fumble not a fumble, thereby invalidating the Browns return for a game winning TD, and declining to award the Browns a first down in OT even though replays from multiple angles clearly showed the ball crossing the ten yard mark before the player's elbow touched the ground, the Browns were robbed of their win by nothing less than corruption.

I don't use poor officiating as an excuse, we're all humans and bound to make mistakes, but to err so egregiously on two pivotal and game winning plays against the same team? Corrupt officials.
