    I had a different model before. Its a solid unit though. I made mine removable. I have a ram ball mount on the side of the center console, mounted the arm and another ram mount ball on the radio itself and plug it into a dedicated always hot 12v plug. Run the mag mount antenna on the roof and run the cable in the door. Eventually I'll run the cable down the window and through the firewall to do it nicely.

    do it, just the tip, no more, no less
