My front duelers are cupped with 5000 miles. I called to make a appointment for them to check it out. This should be interesting. Has this happened to anyone else?

Are they cupped on both front tires? Or only one side?

Definately get that checked....they shouldn't be cupping at only 5000 miles on a new truck. Definately have dealer look at it under warrantee.

The original front tires on my truck cupped at 3,000; Bridgestone Dueler H/T 684II.
My dealer replaced them; after they accused me of cornering too fast.
    The replacements didn't cup.
I tolerated them for 25,000; horrible tire.

Mine did the same, and they did an alignment and found out that from the factory the alignment is off .36. From the factory so have them check that out.

I am sure you checked the tire pressure but, be sure its correct prior to bringing it in. They may say incorrect tire pressure caused it. They should replace the tires for free its not your fault the truck was delivered with a misalignment.
The fact that there is 5000 miles on the tires means somethings wrong....................

Those are a great tire, keep the alignment in spec and correct psi and they will go 40k all day

I think once they are cupped thats it. I had the leaf spring tsb done at 1800 miles and they told me I did not need a alignment. I am not sure if this is the cause or not but I did notice that the steering wheel also is off when going straight. I never noticed that until a few weeks ago. hmmm

An alignment should have been performed after they did the TSB. This is part of the TSB.

Sounds like they did not put the axle back on straight.

I Believe, the TSB Specifies, Leaf Pack, Then Alignment. Had TSB Done Last Month, The Post Leaf Pack Alignment was Perfect Before and After they aligned it, according to the printout, I have the Duelers @ 2,200 miles. Have Not Noticed any Problem.

Well my alignment was way off. They rotated the cupped tires to the rear and told me they will straighten themselves out on the rear. I dont agree with that and asked for new tires. They said they cant do it without authorization. They are supposed to call me monday. I probably will be calling Toyota.

duelers are really really bad tires. I own a townfair tire in NH. I took them off the shelves, have a hard time balancing them, have seen layers of the sidewall peel. CRAP.

Dealer Didn't Align Mine after Leaf TSB. I Went Back and THEN They Read the Rest of the 18 Page TSB. "Yup, We Owe You An Alignment". Link to 18 Page TSB Below if You Don't Have It. Page 8 of 18 States: "An Alignment Inspection and Adjustment is Required After the Installation of the New Rear Leaf Springs". Print Out The TSB, Take It to Dealer + Tell them They Own You Two New Tires, If They Had done The Job Right, Your Tires Would Still Be New. IDIOTS!!! (Did I Say That Out Loud, Don't Say That To Them.)

When I Went Back to Get My Alignment, I Went into A Five Minute Dissertation About How My Time Was More Important to Me Than Anybody Else's On The Planet. They Could Over Charge Me, Take Longer doing A Job Than They Expected, Even Accidentally Damage My Truck, We'll Work It Out. But When They Needlessly WASTE MY TIME, I'll Take My Business Elsewhere. Everybody At My DealerShip Knows Me Now, If They didn't Before

BTW My Alignment Was Perfect and Required No Adjustment. I Have The Before & After Printout

    GOOD LUCK

The service manager said I will probably have to pay a pro rated price on two new tires because its a wear item. Thats such bullshit I can hardly compose myself. They did not perform a alignment when the rear tsb was performed and that is the cause, period.
