Well, the trigger has been pulled :spending: $275 for 90' of 3/8" Amsteel Blue synthetic winch line. Cost damn near as much as my entire winch! Worth it for safety though since the steel sketches me out, even with the dampener blanket on it.

    Everything TW members recommend
    Safety first!

Many years ago, I was always paranoid about the integrity of my winch cable, so I would get it replaced more frequently than I really had to.

I’ve posted somewhere on TW in the past that it’s better to buy a winch with synthetic line instead of buying it later down the road. It’s actually cheaper in the long run, if you’re going up end up with synthetic in the future, which ALWAYS is the case. Winch manufacturers get better pricing on bulk synthetic line than we could ever get.

Randy just needs to get friendly with some BMs so they can make him one.

Yeah agreed. At this point I could have bought the nice smitty one with a wireless remote and syn line. I’ll just tell myself that this is nicer line because it’s the blue steel stuff and that it’s worth the price jump.

Well spent 13 bucks. I hammered down my pinch welds too. Hopefully now, my rubbing is gone.

    Edit: offroad that is.

How the heck you gonna get an impact back there? You need a breaker bar.

Edit: or whack on a wrench with a hammer
