I like to just push buttons until something happens. What’s this button do? Might as well push it and find out!

why is this ? If a dongle is registered to an ECU and has a # on file with OVTune , why can it not be replaced ? It is not like someone would be trying to get an extra license . If nothing else they should be converted to a dongleless setup ?

You cannot use lower ocatane than what you are tuned for but you can use higher. Say you are tuned for 91 you can safely use 93. I dont believe custom tuning will include different octanes than what comes with the Kit.

It would be alot of extra work for Matt. Im sure he could replace ‘possibly’ if he really wanted to, but sounds tedious and time consuming and he has hundreds of customers. Take that with a grain of salt only a guess.

No more work than if a dongleless computer set up failed and they needed a new key ?

I under stand that, but in some cases you can use lower octane due to air density/cooler air.

I used to think I was hard to please. Until I started reading this forum daily. I'm easy.
    1.04 works better than stock.
If 1.05 is better than that, I'll be happy.

With the risk of Engine knock and loss of power i personally would play it safe and only use what is recommended by the tuner.

Agreed. Dont think ive ever made any negative comments about 1.04. Thought this forum was all grown men with trucks... i was wrong xd. All joking aside ‘some’ of this feedback is very useful info for Matt and the improvement of this tune which we can all appreciate.

Yeah, I just figured it'd be easier to figure out and adjust my order accordingly BEFORE it ships since I just ordered last night

    Yes.
Free. If you already have the tune.
If not, buy the version you want.

Gotcha, Mine arrived last night and I'm waiting to hear what to do. Send it back or...? If the Hand Held costs an additional $240 plus the $770 that we just spent I may just buy a laptop. Hand Held sure would be nice though.

Still waiting to see some reviews on 1.05. I only have one issue with my truck and if it eliminates it I'm in.

On the highway when I start to climb a slight grade I'll ease into the gas to accelerate and it will start to jerk or buck till I press it in far enough to down shift.
