Anyone know what is behind the inside trim on the C-pillar that could make a whirring noise like an electric motor? It just started today and is constant when driving and with the truck turned off.

Coincidentally (or not?) The TPMS light started blinking for 60 seconds and then staying lit today. According to the manual that means there is a system malfunction.

Service appointment is scheduled for Monday.

I just noticed that it stops if the driver door is open (only the driver door, no others). But starts again as soon as it's closed.

    Video of the noise...

So the morning of my appointment at the dealer, after this had been constant for 4 days, it stopped making noise, the TMPS light turned off, and the TPMS display started reporting values.

    :homer:Doh!

I took it in anyway, just in case it stored a fault code. Also attempting to get T-SB-0062-18 and T-SB-0013-18. We'll see how it goes.

This happened to me to a few nights ago. I thought I was going nuts. It fxed itself after a few on/off cycles of the key. Not cool lol.

Well with the strange noise being gone and the TPMS light out there wasn't much that they could do. They reset/reprogrammed the TPMS system and adjusted my tire pressure and all seems well.

But, T-SB-0062-18 and T-SB-0013-18 are both done and that alone was worth the time. No push-back from the dealer on needing to replicate the issue (thanks Doxon Toyota). I disabled my ECT auto turn on module and it drives better now than with the old software and the ECT on. I also couldn't get the differential to make any noise on my drive this morning. I hope it stays this way.

Well, the TPMS light is blinking again and no tire pressures are available on the display, just dashes. Hopefully I can get an appointment before it temporally starts working again.

I’m having the same issue with the noise currently. TPMS light was blinking and displaying no tire pressure. My Dealership also reset/reprogrammed the TPMS system and adjusted my tire pressure and all seemed well. But then the noise started today and is in the same location as yours. Did your dealership replace your TPMS receiver or did you pay out of pocket to have it replaced? Also did that eliminate the noise?

Check the padding under your carpet on the driver's side for moisture. Mine was water in that area getting into the electrical connections behind the driver side kick panel. Hopefully yours is something different.
