H.I.D. Headlights/JDM Yellow fog lights (pics)

What do you guys think? I love the way it looks, personally I wanted to go with h.i.d. fog lights but I decided to try the "yellow JDM" look and I love it. It's grown on me. What head/fog light setup are you guys running? anyone try those halo projectors from ebay? I'm thinking of maybe doing that as well.

I am running DDM Tuning 6000K HID's in the heads and 3500k HID's in the fogs, with lamin-x yellow fog covers and I LOVE IT. Pic doesn't do justice they are way more yellow in person.

 

I love my DDM tuning HIDs they are 55 watt 10000k and very bright and only cost me 67$

 

It's pretty bright a lot better than stock

 

yea that's wayyy up there. i'm running 4300k phillips bulbs

 

I will have to try the 6000k they will probably only cost 15$. The whole reason I went with 10000k is because my friend said they are the brightest

 

If you actually want more light on the ground, a HID retrofit is a must. All these PnP HID kits do is blind all of the other innocent drivers on the road.

 

10000k Is not the brightest in my opinion. To my knowledge the brightness peaks in the 6000k-8000k range then anything higher than that just gets dimmer but with more blue and/or purple

 

i was thinking of this set up too, but i went with 6000k for fog and 6000k BI-Xenon (hi/lo for you that dont know) I dont want unwanted attention.

 

Brightest (most visible light output) is 4300k. This is the reason OEM bulbs come 4300k

I also have a 6K HID kit for the headlights and a 3K kit for the fogs with the yellow lamin-x film over them. Honestly, the fogs are kinda bright and I think they might annoy oncoming drivers. I'm not positive though. I might just drive by someone I know at night and ask them how they are. They are very bright though!!

 

I agree, I usually have friends tell me the fogs are brighter than the heads.

 

Might be because there is nothing stopping you from looking right into the filament, where in the headlight there is the 'cover' to direct the light.

I started at 6k and felt it was a bit too blue, so I switched to 4300k and could not be happier. 10k is way too much.

 

Don't take anymore car advice from your friend lol. As mentioned, 4300k is the brightest. As you get higher they light output is less. Personally, I like 5000k, but would never run anything over 6000k myself. Not to mention the more blue/purple they are, the more it fatigues your eyes if you're driving long distances at night.

 

Anyone have any issues w/ the yellow film pealing from the fogs?
