I just left one job because it's boring. Moving on to a new line of work Monday. The turn the wrench is there, but it's different. And the weird thing...everyone was happy to be at work when I went there. Never worked at a place like that.

Even at your age, you NEED to have coverage. Ya never know when you'll need it. Aren't you in HVAC?

Here in CA that's as good as gold...seriously. I'm sure now it probably doesn't matter since you're able to be on your parent's plan until your 26, but after that it becomes a huge monthly expense if you don't have it through a company. I was still freelancing when Obamacare went into effect and even with the "cheaper" plans it was still a big hit...having it subsidized (or paid in full) by your employer is awesome.

when you get some experience under your belt, I'll pay you cash to relocate the damn media cabinet for my filter. what I get for paying a friend of a friend to put in a new furnace and install Air. When i go to change the filter I have to mangle it because the pipes are in the way.

Plant maintenance at a food place..man, the president of the company invited my family to his house for a barbeque..lol. It's weird bro. Most of my past bosses just put up with me cause I made money and shit ran smooth when I was around.

I'm not quite that lucky lol. My employer pays a portion of it but the rest comes out of my paycheck every month...about $80/month for a decent HMO so I can't complain too much. When I was self employed I was paying $110 a month for a base level, crappy HMO plan through Obamacare

I don't get vision though which kind of sucks, but Costco members can see their optometrist for $90 or something like that so I just go there once a year for my contact prescription

That's terrible. Yeah the healthcare system here is fucked no matter who you are unless you're filthy rich or work for the government lol.

Yup, government jobs pay shit for most positions but the benefits are fantastic, which kind of makes up for it but not entirely.

Unless you're a federal government official of some kind, then you've got it made
