Well yeah I wasn’t the one driving, it was my brother in law. But he’s ok, just diagnosed with a concussion and a little sore but ok.

 

It was the presidential alert

Thanks Everyone, luckily it wasn't me driving. I have been driving my brother in laws F250 this week while towing the landscape trailer. He was in the Ranger. Luckily he was ok, just has a concussion, a headache and some cuts on the head from the glass. His head went through the back window because the driver seat broke and fell straight back. His hat ended up in the bed of the truck lol.

On another note...blue book has increased by $1000 on this truck in the last month! lol. We'll see how bad insurance tries to low ball me. Does anyone know if I can present my receipt for the $1800 transmission that i just had rebuilt? Do they take any of that stuff into consideration?

 

Sometimes they will take recent repairs/improvements into consideration but you'll have to usually put your foot down and fight to get them to add into the value.

 

It can be done...did it with my wife’s highlander when a tree fell on it and totaled it. Adjuster came back with a “fair” assessment stating it was all scratched up and had leaks, dry hoses, etc. as far as mechanical. I challenged both and said, “No shit it’s scratched, look at these pictures with the tree on it and the branches fully engulfing the car...and by the way, here are all my service receipts so meet me at the body shop and show me all these leaks, dry rotted hoses, etc.” I never got a call back, just a new adjustment that literally doubled the payout. Only negative to that was I wanted to buy back the highlander but the new buy back price made it impractical.

+1 for Jumpers. His older LED's that were in the truck when I bought it started to go out, so I ordered his new ones (he has updated the circuit boards). Awesome customer service, quick shipping. Lights are extremely bright.
