    Anyone have any ideas on what I can use besides washers to decrease the flex when I put a mtn bike on the rack? Pic attached.

    Is the mount flexing or the rail?

    Shorter hardware will result in less leverage.

    Has flex when I mount a bike on it. It does not sit flush so I was thinking rubber grommets but couldnt find any at Home Depot.

    Cheap mounts?
    Should find rubber grommets in the assorted bins found in the hardware isle.

    Could always add a backing plate to the crossbar (if that is indeed what you are mounting the mount to).
