2017 2.7 hvac recall

i just received a call from the dealer to replace my hvac fan. (Bad fitiment is reason cited) Predicts a 2 hour service. With parts available late next week. Happy with the little truck and surprised to have a personal call for a needed service. Any body else have a recall or trouble with their ac?

called a dealer nearby about purchasing the new part and installing it myself. Wouldn't let me, have to bring in to get the new part installed

 

I see. I haven’t had a problem. So I was surprised.

 

I've got a 16 2.7 with 55k on it and still never received anything about a fan recall.....

 

Maybe it only effects specific assembly periods or locations. I didn’t realize it was a wide spread issue.

 

I plugged my VIN in on the website and it came up as part of the campaign, haven't gotten a letter yet either.

 

Just put my VIN in on the website and it says "There are no open Safety Recalls or Service Campaigns for this vehicle."

 

Just had the "recall" done and my new one is louder and more annoying than the old one!!

 

Good Lord I hope not. I do have a little clunk sound when I turn the wheel to either the left or right when I'm pulling out of my parking spot.
