2017 DCSB, 3" Revtech lift, SCS 17x9 Ray 10's, 285/70r17 tires, no trimming, still have front mud flaps.

I had absolutely no rubbing, UNTIL I installed a C4 Fab lo-pro front bumper... Now it rubs like crazy on the drivers side front fender liner. The bumper made the front end settle 1/2-1", apparently that was enough to bring me to rub city. I don't rub on the cab mount, or anywhere else really other than the fender liner at the front of the driver side wheel well.

I don't want to trim, I like the plastic where its at, the front bumper doesn't fill up with mud and crap with the handy fender liner in tact.
I'm planning to do Kings/UCA's eventually, but it's not in the cards at the moment, big knee surgery coming in November that's really spendy... Is there a short term fix albeit not the best way, but an acceptable way to get a little more ride height out of the front end until I can do it right?

You can put the 1/4 inch spacer in the front driver's side. The make them for the taco lean.

Could get a heat gun and bend it more out of the way

I dont think a heat gun is going to recover the 1/2 inch or so he lost from added weight. But it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

Isn't the "lift" that is on OP's rig already including a spacer? Quick search of revtech lift and its just blocks and spacers...

IMO - there's not really anything that might help without making the ride poor. A heavier spring is the only thing that I think would give you more height AND to be able to handle the weight of the bumper...assuming you are on stock springs.

EDIT: "more height" meaning back to where you were originally at...

I missed what type of lift he had.... stacking spacers isn't recommended by a long shot. You are correct a stiffer spring would be the proper way to go.

Technically isn’t stacking since one is below the shock mount and the other is above.

Would be a sick meme tho.

I only bring that up because I have seen buddies get flamed for saying "XYZ Lift Kit" or "ABC blah blah" but doesn't really explain anything.

Didn't think of this. Worth a shot. It really doesn't rub THAT much, its just noisy/obnoxious as hell. A heat gun could at least make it a little better I would think.

I'm honestly embarrassed that I'm considering this
But really though. Just how bad could it be? :goingcrazy:

As far as stiffer springs, I haven't done much looking but I wasn't aware of anyone making stiffer stock length springs? I wouldn't have a problem ditching the spacers for longer/stiffer springs either, honestly wouldn't know where to start with that though, as far as length/weight/brand/etc.

I don't think they have an option for stiffer springs for the OEM shock, unfortunately.

At the very least you can use the heat gun method and move the fender lining a bit. IDK how long of a window you have to get your kings/icons/etc. either.

    Who knows, life's complicated :notsure:
I'll give the heat gun a try, doubtful it will do enough for the time being, though.

If that doesn't work you can always get a cheap setup in the meantime like 5100s and OME springs

I really don’t see any issues with a 1/4” top plate spacer unless you don’t have enough length in the studs to mount it for some reason.

Can someone clarify something for me? This is the shock/spring lift chart on Headstrong's site. I'm looking at the 3rd Gen 5100's. In the chart it says "Bottom notch setting", is the bottom notch the least amount of lift? So lets say I got the 5100's and the 887 coils, that's good for 2.25" of lift. Can I then adjust the 5100 up to get the 3" I'm looking for, or is 2.25" with that combo maxed out?
It's only $375 shipped for that combo from Headstrong, a pretty appealing option for me.
