Alabama thread!

Yea ours has just recently come back up but we haven't done much about it. I think I'm gonna stick around another 30 mins to an hour and I'm getting the hell outta dodge!

 

We have made it to the asshole of alabama (bham) and are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The drive to Savannah Georgia is trash.

@Jerneyman, what's the average amperage you run on your welder? and what's the most you ever run on your machine?

also for basic welding what would you say is the standard continuous amperage I'd need.

 

Output amperage on my machine, I'm running about 180 amps most of the time when welding 3/16 and 1/4 inch. Max I'll run 210 but I rarely use that much. That's my machines max output anyway.

There really is no standard other than for every 10 thousandths of material thickness it needs 1 Amp to penetrate. That's just rule of thumb but can be varied depending on the situation.

Now if you're talking input amperage, I have a 220 volt circuit with a 50 amp breaker. I've yet to trip that breaker.

 

Anybody know why the city would randomly replace your gas meter? I got a brand new one while I was gone

 

I picked mine up from the same place. Probably closer to you than me. Hated that they couldn't deliver it to me.
