Ok so I know the 3rd brake light is a part of contention.

So for those that don’t know I had my truck painted with a Kevlar automotive paint. Which I love. In the process they disassembled the truck pretty far and put back together.

Every since then I’ve had a leak at the back and it always drips in front of the passenger side back window between glass and headliner. I tried extra sealant around back window and dropped headliner removed third brake light and sealed it with clear silicone and put back in place. Didn’t work. Took it back to the shop and they said back light was cracked so they replaced it and also removed the back window again and replaced the seal.
Just drove it through a car wash and what do I see in my rear view mirror. Damn water dripping inside again.

So now have to take it back to the shop again. This has me considering trading it in. So frustrating.

Take look at rubber strips on roof. If they took them off they may have exposed holes where rack would attach. Drop of silicone sealant plugs them

Check roof rack holes. Make sure tape is stilll there or remove it and silicone them.
Or just put a roof rack on....silicone the holes.
Install new updated 3rd brake light housing.
What else could it be ???
Sounds like painter cracked the housing on reinstall.

Sounds like you contracted with people not skilled in the tasks assigned to them...that’s what should be addressed or you can continue to watch them fumble about and fuck it all up even more...choice is yours brother.

I would make them fix it. You'll never get the money you poured into it back if you trade it in or sell it.

Wow that looks awesome. Is it textured? I’ve never seen that coating up close.

gaskets against sandpaper texture don’t make for the best seals. But I would start at the roof rack holes.

Indeed. But tried running silicone also that doesn’t care what your texture is. I’m guessing the roof rail racks now as well. I’ll find out Tuesday

Sorry for long awaited update and awakening a zombie post but hey it’s Halloween.

so in past year they’ve looked it over a couple of times. I didn’t reread the thread to see what i had posted a year ago. But they’ve replaced the back window, then it started leaking again. This time found the culprit. The vents between the cab and bed.

those have now been sealed up so keeping my fingers crossed. I must say their customer service has been excellent.
