    A thing or two...
There are notches in the folded over lip at the top and bottom of the rail that the bed cleats lock/seat into. I'm pretty sure those holes are there for drainage, but no reason they couldn't be used as tie downs.

Ill have a new rack in 5 weeks. I currently have a kb voodoo mid height, short bed rack. There are a few extra holes I've used for mounting things and it definitely needs to be sanded/painted.

sorry , I haven't posted in a long time. I went to my local dealer (malloy in winchester) yesterday and asked the service guy to check if my truck was part of the frame rust recall . He looked up my vin and said yes it needs to be inspected. I brought it back in this morning and it failed miserably. Huge hole on the drivers side (you can fit 3 softballs in it) and holes throughout the frame. They got me a rental F150 , they said it will be at least a month before I get it back.
my question is 1) why did I have to go to the dealer and ask about something so serious like a frame falling apart , I never received a notice in the mail about this, ( i get recall notices every month about those leaf spring recall.) BTW I have a All pro leaf pack so i just ignore them. 2) has anyone been offered a buy back on 2nd gens? I know they offered them on 1st gens.
    Thanks

There should’ve been something in the mail, so maybe you just missed it? And there’s no buy back that I’m aware of.

You’ll be very happy with the new frame. It’s like a brand new truck under there afterwards.

How about giving them new parts to install while they are all apart ( UCAs , leaf springs , shocks ect)?
has anyone had any luck with this?

I’ve read of people on here having good luck with that. I’ve seen people get it done free (lees new parts obviously) because the tech have to transfer all that stuff over anyways, so it’s no extra work.

I had my frame replaced by the dealer in Chantilly, the longest part was the wait for the frame (two months) but I kept driving my truck during that period. The actual frame replacement took 2 days (i was super impressed) They didn't give me an option to do the buyback for my 2nd gen, but I am super happy with the new frame.

Fauquier wants proof. I used the receipt from the safety inspection. Don’t remember how much the discount was tho.

I was screaming with joy and then with rage as Texas let OU come back to tie it after being 21 points down. WTF! Thank God for Dicker the Kicker though. :D

I know some people were talking about stickers or something, saw the rough sketch and figured I might as well make a vector version, as a newbie...was there a window sticker someone else already designed I missed? Critiques or advice welcome.
