    We use to take those wiggle cars down the drive way and “drift”

    Till we it a pebble and rolled....

    Those Interstate Costco batteries are crap...it's good that they replace them no questions asked, but they don't last very long

    This is true, but I tell you what. When I replaced it you know where it died ? In the costco parking lot ahahahhaa. So full circle. I've always been a fan of yellow top optima though.

    its a cable operated without the dashpot
    any 01-02 auto should be the same.. i dont know about earlier and 03-04 definitely not (theyre drive by wire)

    See I thought all 03-04 was drive by wire. But mine isn’t. Idk if manual makes a difference or s runner package

    Starter. Checked connection at batt, tight not loose. Tapped a few times on stsrter, turned key and cranked right away.

    Not worried about parts on this so aftermarket is fine - suggestions?

    Thanks again for the tip! At least now I know what killed it.

    could be the srunner package.. all the XRS corollas were cable even though the 04-08 corollas were drive by wire wit the standard models

    aftermarket should be fine.. just get one with a lifetime warranty. the starter takes maybe 30 minutes to replace. a reman denso would be best in my opinion though

    Oh remember to disconnect the battery before you change the starter.. people like to forget to do that and fry fuses.
