I went to a short bed Taco from my F350 CC long bed. It’s my 4th Toyota. I was very skeptical at first but in reality I find that in all but a few situations the SB works. That said I will be going back to a full size truck because let’s just be honest... all Tacoma Trucks are really short beds in the real world.

I own a 8' bed truck as well. The ultra short beds are great for groceries and thats about it. A mini van has more room.

My short 6'6" bed Tacoma is pretty much on the border of being useless as a truck but a least a motorcycle fits kinda

I just think the “long bed” has the perfect length visually with the double cab.

My 83 was a long bed and I feel it’s just more useable for hauling.

Just depends on your needs. I need a longbed maybe once every 5 years. And by longbed, I mean 8'. So I just rent a trailer. I like the smaller size of a SB for daily driving and extra garage space.

LONG BED, came from a Tundra with an 8 foot bed and miss the length, more so the width (think, fits a wood pallet 48" x 40"). I could secure two kayaks side by side with the tail gate down and no overhang, so LB was an easy choice. Still not as wide as I would like.

After having both I like my short bed better, still fits all my hunting a fishing gear plus parks easier.

I need the long bed to haul shit, so I got a 2010 Access Cab Prerunner. I thought the single and access cab were the only ones with the long bed, but it looks like that has changed.

I can't get a double cab long bed in my garage, and I haul max 1 or 2 more people anyway, so it's a long bed access cab for this boy. And the guy in the back can just suck his knees on the ride for all of me.
