Wet okoles are nice. I jumped on these because Costco was selling custom covers for $350 and I had $100 credit, $25 gift card and $75 promo. $150 for Cover kings our of pocket was a nice day.

I didn't do anything to my 3rd gen Tacoma today. I did go to the dealer, put down a deposit and ordered a 2019 4 Runner TRD Pro. I'm still keeping my truck.

    bigger tires
    I have 2018 trd. pro

have 16" rims and was thinking of going with 285-75-16 tires.

    current tires are 265-70-16

I will be going with wider rims, since stock trd. pro rims are 16x7

My question is will the 285-75-16 fit without rubbing on the trd. pro. since it has 1 inch. stock lift?

or I am better going with 265-75-16

I have seen a lot of Tacoma trucks with the bigger set up.

    Let me know guys.

It is indeed. The whole bed lights up. I’ll take a picture after while and post it.

Where did you find them? They look OEM. Were they hard to install?

Upgraded tires today. Pretty happy about it went from the Firestone Destination LE's to some new 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3W LT's. Would say I averaged about 1-1.5 mph less than before. New suspension next. Also threw on a Pro Grille, no before and after though.

Dealer installed TRD intake and exhaust, window tint and Predator tubes.
I got my first 5,000mi maintenance today. I reported my "transmission" issue which can best be described in two ways.
    a) when climbing a mild 10 percent grade (fwy), the truck would downshift to 4th gear and rev to about 3,300 RPM and simply stay in that gear even when the grade decreased and the truck felt as if it could shift back to 5th or even 6th. I could correct this by manually shifting it to 5th, etc.
    b) when accelerating it seemed it was almost starving for more throttle to get through the gears and I'd have to stab the throttle more to get it to smoothly transition through the gears.

There is a Toyota Service Bulletin (TSB) for our trucks (2018 and others I assume) for the trans. I had it flashed as another owner here mentioned. It has resolved the issue and the truck drives and shifts beautifully now.

Thought I'd throw this out there for anyone interested.

Coming up next is the "Always On" camera mod. Because I have a sickness, the always on rear cam is simply child's play. I will be adding 3 additional cameras to be managed by a power switch and a multiplexer. One forward facing and two for either side facing aft. There is no "need" for this mod, but it sure looks cool to me and I just can't help myself.

Plasti-derped the badges. Seens like a lot more effort than it was worth. I like it, but not doing that again.
