Not really... 2017 base Rapter Crew cab short bed was what $52,250 (that is up 3,400 and change from 2014) now in 2018 it is a year later and it is $53,660... I am guessing next year it will be up another 1,000+ and the year after that another $1,000 and so on... so that puts it at a base of $56,000 in 2021 With NO OPTIONS added yet?

Not trying to get in a pissing contest, this is just my opinion based on what I know. I think a baby Rapter (the newest shiny thing) will probably base out (for a Crew cab) at about 50K I could be wrong I mean after all we are all just speculatin here right? (TRD pro will likely be up a few grand as well right?) I just priced out a Rapter and i will say this I wouldn't want a BASE Rapter (nor have I ever seen a BASE Rapter...) shoot it is tough to find a 2017 Rapter used around these parts for under $60K.

Trucks are getting EXPENSIVE, flat out. The Baby Rapter is going to be EXPENSIVE and Ford dealers will mark them up I can guarantee you that... $10 grand markups are NOT going to be a rarity, they will be a reality for the first year at least... I mean people are paying $5,000-15,000 markups on TRD pros in some places!? That is INSANE.

One thing I assume the new ranger will have is anytime rear locker. My base-model 2018 4WD F150 work vehicle has a locker and you can engage it in 4hi or 2wd. Ford doesn’t seem to reserve the locker for the ‘end of days’ like Toyota does.

You could be right. I'm sure you're right about the mark up, my dad has had to deal with this on his last 2 raptors. But at a base of $50k Ford would be the most expensive and pricing themselves so close to a full size raptor and out of the primary customer with the baby raptor. And yes you are correct most Raptors built are not base models, most have 802a, etc. which puts you around $72-74k.

I’d take drums in the front if they’d offer them. Maybe the 2019 TRD Pro will finally get front drums? A LOT of guys I know have been waiting for this upgrade.

The thing is, is nobody gives a shit about price except for online forum posters that aren’t going to buy that vehicle anyway but just need to point out why it sucks.

People are paying over $100k for Raptor super crews.

    And I did say paying.

Price is not much of a debate point in the real world.
