Not bad enough to worry about. You don't even have a drip forming.

I wiped the drip off before I snapped the pic. Actually cleaned it really good after that pic to see how fast it returns.

Remove the skid pan and look to the passenger side by the PS pump.

They identified the leak at the 1 year service, 9497 miles on the truck at the time. It was fixed at 11835 miles.

Kendall actually did pretty well by me. Put me in a 2018 TRDOR as a loaner and kept me informed throughout the process. It was still a pain in the ass, but they certainly did everything they could for me.

And ya, it was a while ago. No big deal, though, other folks might have this problem and hopefully this helps them out.

The Tacoma engine is built in the Alabama engine plant. Although the 3.5 itself is made in 3 different plants in the U.S. Alabama, West Virginia and Kentucky. Some produce the "car" version and others the "truck". Really very few differences in the engine itself.

Most of the leaks on these engines are from poor fipg placement. The nozzles on the robots get out of adjustment and it's up to the people assembling to catch it. They are leak tested on line and hot tested, but some small leaks take a bit to show up.

No issues. Going back next week for 2 year service. I'll let you know if they tell me about any issues.

Add my truck to the timing cover leak. Just can’t catch a break. This truck has been the most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned. That’s pretty sad as I’ve owned a bunch of Bmw’s. Think after this repair i May think really hard on getting rid of it.

Not the point. One of the main selling points of Toyota is reliability am I correct? Wouldn’t you be upset if you had 6 different dealer visits to fix problems in 15k miles? It’s been ridiculous. Thankfully the local dealer has been great. Granted I bought a first year new model but let’s be real nothing ground breaking or overly advanced in this truck. Fact is the issues lots of people have had come down to poor manufacturing or cost cutting. The days of Toyota dependability I think are gone. What we are left with is a Japanese company no longer making a great product in Japan.

All 2GR Taco engines come from Alabama...regardless of the final assembly plant

Roll tide. The issues we see on the Mercedes side coming out of the Bama plant lead me to believe that state shouldn’t be allowed to make vehicles.
