No in California it would be against the law to modify the steering wheel in that manner especially because the glue is probably known to cause cancer. Also the hippys probably have those rocks protected under some dumb law so you cant collect them.

Do you guys think $2,500 is a fair price to sell my 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid at? I'm doing the major maintenance items like spark plugs, wires, oil, ATF, brakes, etc. It's high mileage (258k) and has a dead hybrid pack.

Craigslist average is $3-$4k for low mileage examples, with the most expensive being $6k. A non-running one is $1k, and a salvage title one is $3k.

 

Maybe in Cali that's normal. Here or anywhere else with a dead hybrid and that many miles it worth whatever the interior is worth so like 500-750

 

Cali cars are just ridiculously expensive. Take a look at what other 2006 Civic Hybrids are selling for.

Who would buy any of those old and likely low life left hybrid shit heaps when you can lease a new one for a year for cheaper.

 

i doubt youd get much more than 1500 for it... the hybrid battery costs like 3 grand to replace unless you do it yourself, so 1500 plus 3k for a new battery and someone could of just bought a much lower mileage one with a good battery.

 

I told em I'd replace it for free if they bought a reman pack for $998.

They said they're very interested, they bought a low mileage standard 2003 Civic for $9,000!!!

People don't know anything about cars. They see 'Honda', think reliable, and the price goes up.

Scary thing is I've seen dealers around my old high school price Honda Civics like that very similarly.
