Not much sun to speak of down here.
Early on it was fog and drizzle when I was in the woods.
    Need a frost already.

Had one here last night. Not heavy, but definitely there when I got up this morning.

First time out with the bow since it's been so warm here.
It was supposed to be in the 40's early but instead it was pushing 60.
    Surprisingly, few skeeters.

I always kind of scoffed at the thermacell, but they make a huge different turkey hunting. I'll never go without mine again, honestly, at least for spring birds.

Yeah... outside but I’m working. So not enjoying it. Ready to see with my face what the contact patch looks like between a steam roller and pavement.

About to head down and work until about 12, but usually I enjoy the weddings so I won't complain. It was supposed to be sunny today though and it's raining up where I live right now.

In other news, contractor just called, the cement guys pulled the forms off our basement walls this morning and have left the site. Monday is time to waterproof it, then we can backfill and get moving. Bringing a Predator 4000 Harbor Freight generator down to build the house with. For some reason the power company has a big delay installing our pole...again. Anyways, this little $3-400 dollar generator built our wedding venue, and it's about to build our home. Been VERY impressed with the thing, all it needs is gas and an oil change every once and awhile. Started on the first pull this spring when I used it to pump our well, after two years of sitting in my garage without me touching it.

Camping also! Beautiful weekend in Maine.
Is GM still using that dinosaur 6.0 gas? If so, it’s a dog compared to the other HD gas engine offerings. I wouldn’t buy a GM 2500 gas model, it’s bullet proof but underpowered in my opinion.

With my F250 gas, I’m averaging 15-16 commuting, 9-11 towing my camper and can push 17-18 unloaded, no traffic. From what I’ve seen on the Ford forums, the diesel version of my truck seems to average between 2 and 5 mpg better than the gas model.

Diesel will obviously tow better but comes with other draw backs. Maybe see how GMs new half ton diesel specs out? Could be a good compromise.

I dunno, The 6.0 may be underpowered for what it is, but GM's got a good transmission behind it which covers up a lot of the inadequacies of the motor. A GM with the 360hp/380lb/ft dragged the same load up the Ike Gauntlet faster than a Ram with the 410/429 6.4 because the transmission has a better shift map than the Ram. The Ram's transmission is set up for the Cummins, and the 6.4 had a harder time keeping in the power band because the mapping doesn't line up.

Super late to the party, but have you heard the remix of Dance Macabre? It turns it into a Nintendo soundtrack song.

    Yes, they are.
    Yes, it works well.
Just had an oil change on my fleet van. 119k. Not burning any oil between intervals. No power or shifting issues. Avg 13.5mpg in a loaded 1ton van.
Better than the 9-10mpg, with the v10 in my last van.

@js312 whats the towing capacity on your 2.7? Everything I find about the 2.7 is different. I’ve see. Anywhere from a 5000lb cap to 8000lb. Looking at 2017 tomorrow but If it’s 5000lb then it makes me rethink it. Also took a 2016 tundra crew max out today

Mine is 8100, but I have 3.73 gears which are unusual. Most are 7600--that rating applies to the 4WD 145" wheelbase models with 3.55s.

I actually pulled this today. About 6400 lbs, which was a breeze:

Because I dont wanna deal with shit in 3rd gen forum right now....

I need a local dealer that doesnt suck.

Took service manager for a ride today, yep, he agreed with all complaints, blah blah.

Then said, no TSB of campaign applies.

THEN they wrote on the work order. "Unble to duplicate complaint"

I fking hate dealers. Admitted there is a reflash for the truck.
Yes, a lot of people complain.

Then, no, they all do this. Just use ECT.

    Fuck.

And the service writer thoroughly pissed my wife off... which is pretty hard.
