Well I burned up one drill and broke 2 drill bits but not to bad. I used a step drill bit from harbor frieght. Worked great till about the fourth hole and it shattered on the shaft. The drill was almost twice my age so was kinda waiting for it to blow. Sheared a few teeth off on that one. But over all easy. Just put the two easy side bolts on to hold them andplace and just worked my way around just fine. The bolt in the drivers side rear.... Hmm what a fun bolt that is to go in. That was by far the hardest thing about the install that gas tank and brake lines were a pain to work around but I finally got it once I could get a wrench on it

Good info. The front nut plates are pretty deep in there that's why I recommend antiseize (and ship them with some on them) and also why the plates have the handles, which also rotate up against the frame and you don't need a wrench in there. Glad to see you got them on so fast. Nice job man! Also, double check and make sure the brake lines aren't touching the nut plates.

The fronts weren't bad at all cause I could get my arm inside the frame pretty much all the way to the bolt. Just that back one there's no room up in there for me to even finger room in there. It just took a Lil trial and error to figure out how to position my arm and wrench to get it in there.

Yeah, I wanted that last leg as far toward the end as possible and this ended up being the way to do it since the frame curves upward before that area, there wasn't much to go off of.

I bent the lines out of the way but I'm going to check them in about week and make sure no wear developing. I might even wrap them w something to be extra safe they don't wear a hole in that area

Sorry for the repost from pg 2 if the answer was posted and I missed it...

    1. Anyone running Beef's sliders with a complete set of BudBuilt skids? I'm wondering if one of the sliders two center arms might conflict with Bud's rear horizontal support.

Beef- Once I get the BudBuilt skids on maybe I'll drive down there and have you weld a set of sliders on for me. I'll pay you $/hr to make any mods to gets things to line up.

    2. If you have Beefed sliders welded on can you post pics of your slider to frame welds. I'd like to see how the rear arm/plate is welded.

    Thanks.

Hey Brian, do you do installs too? How much would shipping be to 92646? I have a DC SB and want to get a set of weld on sliders. Oh and do they only come with no finish?

Haha ok nevermind on the shipping, if I did get a set, I would just drive down there and get them put on. How much do you charge for installation?

Okay cool, that would be for the bolt-ons, what about weld-ons? I think I am leaning towards those.

i didnt even use jack stands to hold mine in place. i just used some ratchet straps around the base of the legs and held them tight against the frame that way. it held them a lot tighter to the frame for drilling then i could get with a jack stand.

Still need to get this model truck into the shop and get moving on this. I want them too.

    BTW...
These sliders are now available in medium also. They're for those who are torn between the narrow & wide, I'm currently doing 2 sets like this.

    Specs
*from directly under rocker panel pinch weld & measuring outward* See pics on 1st page for narrow & wide matching the tires & wheels.

Narrow 5.5" front tubes and 7" kickout

Medium 6.5" front tubes and 8" kickout

Wide 7.5" front tubes and 9" kickout
