No clue. It's loud and sounds mean.

Lol. Gotcha. I sometimes feel inadequate in my teenage boy truck.

Judging by all the threads here on TW about wanting Apple/Android play, I think it’s important to consumers

    Looks great!

I read and watched a few reviews and most seem to complain about the lack of power.

Most of the truck enthusiast on the world market are overlanders. Not sure why a 200hp turbo diesel wouldn't be enough for overlanding. I didn't know folks were racing up rock obstacles or drifting though animal preserves.

Maybe go out to the forest without 58 tons of electronics or unnecessary fancy-pants bolt-ons and you wouldn't need more power.

First things first...I'm not a Ford fan.

However, they will sell a shit load of these. The old reliability argument only goes so far.

Look no further than the Tundra. Same formula as the Tacoma - milk the design as long as possible, offer less for the same if not slightly more money and rest on the twin laurels of reputation and reliability. The Tundra has stiff competition and it gets trounced in sales.

The mid-size truck market has not been as competitive as the full sized market. The GM product offers no clear advantage over the Taco. Same with the Nissan. The new Ranger will have more HP and more torque. It will have amenities that the Taco doesn't. It is also not necessarily a "new"vehicle and there is a decent aftermarket out there for it.

This may be great for Tacoma owners. Toyota will have to up its game to maintain it's advantage, possibly even stay even. Looking forward to it.

Yes, might be great for people who will be buying a new Tacoma a few years from now.

The members of TW who enjoy the forum now, not so much....

Wait a sec there buddy...I have one of the first to roll off the line bought in September 2015. Not a single problem... oh wait I cant get the service guys to lube it when I get my oil changed and I had a rattle in the A pillar.

The Ford Ranger looks like a mall crawling girly girl truck. Cant wait to pull up next to one at a red light!

For real. A person who has a world class kitchen and enough stored power to cycle a city in the bed of their truck needs to take a few steps back and reconsider what outdoorsing is.

Ford people haven’t had a midsize in awhile. Some of them substituted tacomas, and they are easy to spot on tacoma world. The will shamble away at some point, no big deal.

2016 same here. Only issue was a battery. Everything is perfect.
No issues shifting, leaks, rattles or anything.
    Solid truck.

It looks like FORD dropped the Off-Road package for the Ranger? Am I mistaken??? All I see now is the STX Appearance Package, Chrome Appearance Package, Sport Appearance Package. Are they including the Off-Road goodies elsewhere, exclusive to the Ranger Raptor? because these packages are appearance and comfort/convenience themed.
You cannot OPT for the spray in bed liner if you want the 12V in the bed either...

    The Bed Utility Package includes:

    • Drop-In Bedliner
    • 12V Power in bed

Between GM, Chrysler and Ford...Ford is the best at lying to the public.

I currently have a 2017 Raptor but I actually drove a 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro in cavalry blue today. The raptor has been a great truck but its like driving a school bus when trying to park somewhere.. I am thinking about trading it in and taking the Tacoma Pro to get some cash back out of the deal. I have had several Tacomas since 1980, only one I didn't like was the 2016 limited. The Ford twin turbo is strong compared to this 3.5 tacoma but I think I am ready for a midsize truck again I think.
