I got ONE station in town that I know off with pure gasoline. Thank god. I'll try the 93 octane, maybe that'll help bump it up some.

you need to get some miles on that beast before you start seeing some good numbers on the MPGs. got a few places in Chas that i pass that sells 100% gas. i usually get midgrade from Sunoco and get good mileage

ok so i'm getting what i feel is pretty bad mpg...i have my 2010 sport dcab, automatic this time, with about 2600 miles on her...i haven't filled it up much, but i'm not even reaching the 300mile mark on a full tank...in fact i just got about 261 on the tank when the gas light came on, i used non-ethenol gas 89 grade this time hoping that would help...and 3/4's of the tank was all highway trip miles and 1/4 city driving never going more then 60-65 mph on this last tank...only mod i really did was upgrade the rims and tires to 265/75/16 and afe air filter, other then that it's still stock...now since the truck is so new could it just be cause i'ts not really broken in? my 06 manual got lousy miles as well...and i don't drive fast and im not heavy footed, in fact my gf yells at me saying i drive too slow

i forgot to add i'm running like 32psi in the duratracs...i know they rate maximum air at 80psi...should i maybe bump up the psi a bit?

higher psi for sure would help mileage, my manual, wheni had about 10k miles was only getting 16-17 mpg highway and city (07 dble cab sb sport) now with controlled speed driving, getting 19-20+ mpg. also mobil 1 oil im runnin

^ yeah I forgot to mention this is the first since I've switched to mobil 1 as well. I'm wondering how much psi I should put in. Obvisously not 80 but maybe I'll bump it upto like 45 and try that

i run my stock tires at 40ish. so i think 45 is good, another guy we wheel with on teh street runs 65 psi. so its all good either way, stiffer will def = better mpg,

you also need to account for your ODO being off. it shouldnt be off much w/ just 265/75s, but that will explain a few more MPGs on there

according to my iphone app i got 28.86 mpg on my last tank and the tank before that was 27.96 mpg.

this was mostly city and with some highway driving.

i've checked my numbers many times. This is for real. :)

    4 banger? Imperial gallons?

If not both of those then perhaps a 6º down slope for 400+ miles on your last two trip? :D

Just make sure you get the downhill version as they are harder to find and usually on backorder. Too many people accidentally get the uphill version and aren't too happy with it.

I was having bad MPG in my 2.7l. So i changed everything back to stock. From the intake to exhaust and battery reset. I was still getting bad MPG. After about a month, I found a thread on MAF and TB cleaning. So i cleaned the MAF sensor as directed with a battery reset. I intened to clean the TB but the way the 2.7l tb is angled, im afraid ill drop something in there. After about a week of driving, it seems to have helped a little bit with the MPG and my rig feels different while driving. If i could describe it in any way, i would say it rides alot smoother. I dont know if thats just me, but definitely different.

I found CSV file that is for a Garmin GPS which lists stations that sell "Pure-Gas". I can not verify the validity of the information, but here is the file.

    Hope this helps someone

Note: you can open the file with MS excel, or any other spreadshet software that will open CSV files

My truck is a base model with 4 cyl engine, 2x4 and smaller factory tires.
It gets 21-22 MPG mixed city/highway driving and about 23-24 highway MPG. I think it should do better for being a smaller truck with a 4 banger.
My friend's new Chevy V8 full size truck gets 19-20 highway MPG. How come Toyotas are so bad on gas?

After driving my WJ that got around 11.2 I am very happy with the mileage I get in my Taco.

You wanna talk about bad MPG's, talk to my dad who gets about 8.9 in his Jeep SRT8.
