Heads up to everyone interested in coming to the meet...

Bolivar (Crystal Beach) requires a $10 parking sticker to park on the beach. There is a quarter mile stretch of beach that doesn't require a parking sticker, but after asking one of the GC Sheriff Deputies, I was told that the of the beach becomes crammed with beach goers and is quite the circus.

Again, the sticker is $10 and can be purchased at the Bolivar Chamber of Commerce and at most stores and real estate offices on Bolivar.

    What are your thoughts?

A little something every chance we get.
Thanks for the update, and I am going to have to pass this one up. A. Understand you do a trail/multiday event. B. Which should be A - have to take a trip up to Missouri and it's too much at the same time.
BUT, I am sure going to pay attention to these in the future, because we do love going to the coastal beaches. Thanks.

Alright so I think that everyone coming in from the Galveston side and coming across the ferry should meet up at the Bucees off 45 in Texas City at 10AM. Then refuel yourself and your vehicle if need be and we can roll out together at 10:30 to Crystal Beach.

@Bigdaddy4760 are you coming down that Fridsy before or Saturday morning?

I think we can meet you on the Bolivar side where theres a small store for people to buy their beach parking passes and gather back up in case we get split up at the ferry. Then follow your lead down to the beach as I'm sure you know the places you generally fish and we can all set up at one of those to hangout/camp/drink.

    How does that sound?

Kelly, not sure yet as Granny was just diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, we and family are headed down when I get home to help move her back to her house once we get the hospital bed and oxygen set up and care arrangements made. She is in hospice care now and wants to be at her house.

I know Will, but she is a tough ole bird and has accepted what is going on. She just wants to be where she was raised at and around family.

Sorry to hear that. We went through similar things when my grandma on my dad's side was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I hope things get better for you and your family.

The plan is bolivar. As of right now anyone coming in on the Galveston ferry side can meet at Bucees in Texas City at 10AM on the 20th. We will roll out at 10:30 and head down to the ferry together. Once we get to the bolivar side we will stop at one of the first stores there and anyone needing parking passes for the beach can stop and grab it. Then we will head down and find a beach access to get out on the sand. If @Bigdaddy4760 makes it out I will let him lead us once we get to the bolivar side, if not then we will find a place that looks good to set up to hang out/fish/drink/camp.

Sounds like a plan! I'll update the TTC CALENDAR and hopefully we have a nice turnout!
