Considering a 2019 PRO as it finally now has a moonroof and JBL !! One at my local dealership just arrived - in VooDoo blue. kinda wanted white-- but white seems to only come with the snorkel for dessert air. Does anyone know if this will change in the future? meaning I can get white PRO without the air thing?

    =)

That depends on your region and a discussion with your dealership.

Just get the white one with the snorkel. Down the line they may hold more value/be more rare vs. pros without one.

They always had JBL. The moonroof is new this year which to me is a negative as i hate the damn thing since it takes away my headroom. As for the the desert air intake you can get it with out it. Its just a question of availability in your region.

You are wrong. They did not always have JBL.

Interested. Moon roof, sound system. Could I get this without a factory lift? Like the old 5 luggers? Something sporty that handles tight? Something lower maybe. 4 seats? I was planning on a camper shell, because I like everything enclosed. Leather seats are hopefully and option. Heated as well...

Ah fuck it. I’ll just get a CAR

This comes as a surprise to me as i could have sworn I saw it listed as a feature when i was looking to buy in 2016. Really odd how toyota would keep a premium upgrade out of their "premium" model.

I agree 100%. It should have been included but I assure you my 2017 doesn’t have JBL. However it all comes with it now. Which is good on Toyota for doing what should have done from the beginning.

Can I ask why you want a PRO? or almost why anyone wants a PRO? I'm not trying to be a D-Bag but I was with a few guys this past weekend at a Overland Bound meet up that owned PRO's (1 had a PRO Taco the Other a PRO 4Runner) and both of them said they regretted the decision to buy a PRO. Basically it equated to about 10K more than an off-road for a Kick-ass suspension system which both of them removed and replaced with something taller and heavier duty, a hood scoop which limits visibility somewhat, and cool Grill (I'll agree with this one, and I added a factory PRO grill to my OR for ~$375). Yes it's trimmed out cool and the Rims are nice, but for 10K couldn't you make an OR WAY WAY better than a PRO? I know that's what I did. Now if you leave it stock and stock height I'll agree it's a damn fine truck, but if you are going to want to lift it and add capacity or height wouldn't an OR be a much better choice to start with? Why go PRO? I'm asking because I honestly do not see the reasoning.

For me it was the color choice I have wanted a Voodoo Blue taco ever since they announced the color options (I wanted a Voodoo Blue FJ for a long time and never got one...) and because I don't want to mess around with changing out suspension. The PRO's FOX suspension is great right off the lot.

Honestly, if I was going to change out suspension I would have gotten a Cav Blue TRD OR and just not been as happy with the color.

    Thats always an ongoing debate
If you are asking someone that is going to mod everything the OR would be much better option
If asking someone that wants to keep it stock maybe PRO stock lift, leather trd seats, grille already on it along PRO goodie options may be worth it

Resale value could favor the PRO sometimes but OR/Sport hold their values as well, but special trim models (PRO, STI, M series, AMG) always get a nice little resale boost

This is coming from someone that bought a 4runner Trail because didnt like the PRO price and even with car bought a WRX over STI because didnt want to pay $10k for a wing and 15hp but really interested in the 2019 PRO.

In all the car's I've had, I have never really used my moon/sun roof. I was actually a little disappointed when I bought my used Tacoma which did not have a moonroof. However having and using the truck I don't regret it since I don't feel the need to have something I'm not going to use.

My brother has an 18 OR, nice truck. However, too nice to actually take on serious trails. I wouldn't want to scratch up that new paint job. Too nice of an interior I wouldn't want to get dirty. Too new to want to chance putting anything dings or scratches on it. Too much on gas as a daily driver. Too expensive IMO for what it is. However it all comes down to how and what you want to use it for.

Yeah I’m bald (bic my head) so I despise sunroofs... always have. Wouldn’t pay an extra $.05 for one...

That said my wife was in need of a new car I asked her what she wanted to look at and her response was “it has to be White, and have a sunroof” people who like roofs, like roofs... lol

(We got her a BMW X1 for what it’s worth) though from her response she probably would have been fine with a White Kia with a roof... idk... lol

For me - the PRO I like the colors(white, red bits, black inside) always have- Yes you can get an OR- and my sport suits me well. I'm thinking of moving my AMG to a model 3 and shifting my pretty vehicle to the PRO. why I'm doing it- won't see any off road HAHAHA - just like the look and cheaper than a raptor.

I was looking at PROs back in 2016 as well (they were 2017 models but were released in 2016) We ended up getting my wife's Highlander instead... But, just like now you can get the 2019 PROs and it is still 2018. This is typical of car manufacturers.

If I am not mistaken they shut down the plant, retool and start manufacturing the next model year Tacoma in JULY of the prior year.

Looking November-December 2016. Bought in January 2017. Only thing that kept me from buying a pro was the 5-10k "market adjustment value" dealerships in California would add.
