Stock jack is fine. It does its job. Make sure to position it correctly.
I had a blown tire after a small all fender bender and changed the tire pretty close to F1 standards...

If you're lifted then the stock jack won't help you, unless you put it under the lower control arm which isn't exactly recommended. If you don't have sliders or steel bumpers then a Hi Lift won't be anything but a very large and awkward paper weight, I'd recommend a bigger bottle jack from Harbor Freight or similar. Or if you have the means to store it in your bed, an aluminum floor jack maybe.

Weird...guess they cheaped out on putting decent bottle jacks in them. A good aftermarket one will do the trick, the HF ones are pretty inexpensive

I am lifted and have the accesory strap for the HiLift- that works, but you need a jack stand or trade off with the good spare as a stand, after you lift the dead tire. I also have sliders, and a cool little adapter for using the HiLift on the round slider tubing (Shmellmopwho built it), but I was also planning to sometime get either a larger HF pneumatic bottle jack to use with my on board air compressor to power it- no oil (very little, actually to lube it only) will allow me to store it without leaks and spills.

You could also make or buy one of those sliding bases to replace the wheels on a aluminum HF hydraulic racing jack.

It’s not that it was a problem.....it just wasn’t ideal. I am aware that there is a lack of hi jack points on the tacos. That’s why you said I was going to get the Wilco hitchpoint for rear and was asking for cheap options for the front

I saw the piece before I ran over it, just was in thick traffic and couldn’t really avoid it. It popped up quick as I began to pass someone. Otherwise yes, I would have been looking for lee Malvo before I got out
