Really for only $135 you can add an amp, speakers and sub with enclosure...

Im with you. No way Id get a truck with moon roof. Even if that meant sacrificing other options.

The JBL is awful. And you can't upgrade it. There's not anyone that thinks it sounds good is there?

True, if you truly offroad your truck last thing you want is a piece of glass in the roof, but for many here, myself included this is a D.D. street queen, so I enjoy having it.

Yep. NEVER used dual climate on any of my vehicles. I barely used AC as it was. Lol.. only when the gf was in the cars.

    JBL, not worried about it.

There are plenty, and sure any aftermarket will beat a stock system even stock upgraded system. But that wasnt the point, you stated for $135 you could make a stock system better than a JBL system which has better speakers, sub and amp than stock, so to make it better than stock as you claim you would need new speakers, amp and sub, would like to see where you can locate all that for $135.

What about climate control do you like? The fact it blows hot air when it's 100 degrees on blast in your face when you start your truck, or that it blows freezing air on blast when you start your truck in cold weather?

I bought a car for the heated leather seats, it does have a moonroof which I don't care for. The purpose was to be comfortable.

Trucks on the other hand, less is definitely more.

I was comparing my $135 upgrade to the truck I listened to with JBL. Also comparing it to the JBL in my wife's rav4 to my $135 upgrade.

You have the ability to have different settings for you and the passenger. So as many alluded to, GFs tend to run cold, so there's no great debate / fight over cold/hot in the vehicle.

I was born in Kentucky and now live in the sticks. I definitely off-road. It’s just what we do. In fact, I’m 47 years old and I’ve never even owned a car. Since I was 16, it’s been nothing but trucks and dirt bikes. I JUST bought my first street bike two weeks ago. Love it though.

Except for the fact you're sitting a foot away from each other. You're not in a 3k square foot house. I have one climate control vehicle in the garage and one without. Give me manual controls all day.

Climate control is awesome for the wife and I, or when I take the dogs. As far as moonroof never want another one. I would pass on the pro just for the fact the 19s it’s standard. So happy mine doesn’t have one.

The Subaru Tweeters and the Kicker Door Speaker upgrade sounds much better than the Factory JBL, I am glad JBL was not part of Premium and Tech on my truck.

And all that can be had for $135?

I never said anything about $135, think the total was around $250 including a box Sound Deadening Mat.

I see that, but that conversation was started because another member said for $135 specifically he could make his stock system sound better than JBL. Whatever works for you. I like the JBL as do many others and if it was just Stock and JBL, JBL wins hands down. Could you make a better system, sure. But for Stock its decent.

Right, I think he was referring to his wifes Rav4 in that post.

Gotcha, still $135 is pretty low even for a set of speakers. No worries.
