1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

When I think about it. I pretty much tossed everything in the trash except the third member. I even went a step further and replaced the three skid plates with new so the last of the rot was gone

 

i'm going to get some aluminum skid plates for the front and the gas tank.. the originals are... toast.
well the front one isnt bad. but the gas tank skid is swiss cheese

 

with the money i give to my dealership.. fuck i might as well have the paychecks paid to me in credits for parts. even if i have never actually paid for parts with my paychecks... (side work pays for the truck)

 

Mine weren't too bad just really scaly salt chickenpox.

 

The 02 needs to have the axle addressed. the scales getting bad.. i might just sell him my axle housing.. take it as an opportunity to upgrade to the 03 axle housing and not have my parking brake cable above the leaf springs... (my bell cranks... are crusty)

 

I passed the point a while back where this made rational sense. I let the parts dept know last week they won't be seeing me for a while since I'm now done.

 

luckily i got my truck for free when i turned 16 from my dad... soo im not in for the price of the truck.. but ive still managed to surpass 18k in parts... lol

 

The Limited seat situation could eat a hole in my ass depending on how I want to go with it.

Send them out and have them redone in leather for $$ and sell my base leather seats to recoup some money

or

Sell the limited seats and just be be happy with what I got

 

i cant find a set of 01-04 limited seats to save my life... i have 4 of my body shop connections trying to hunt them down too.

 

Sell both, get race truck seats for the overland points

I thought about having them re done or getting prps

 

just get some fancy replacements and sell me yours. hope ya can get a crate for them.

 

His seats are probably clear full of butt dust.

I would have liked to have found 01-4 Limited seats, but when a set of 99's came up I was like I gotta have those. I really didn't want the power lumbar just more shit to break and didn't want to deal with wiring.

When I first started looking for a first gen I was a day late on a 1st gen double cab, black with a sunroof limited. I'm not a fan of black, but I could have lived with it

Nope. OEM plus only on interior shit. In my olden days I would have. I'd change the head unit, but no one makes anything that doesn't look like a box of smashed assholes these days. I even bought an OEM foglight switch for my KCs. I like interior stuff that doesn't look out of place. I'm likely going to marry a woman that's difficult like me

 

dude headunits drive me nuts.. i want a new headunit.. but theyre all ugly as sin. only good looking units were the nakamichis back in the early 2000s. but now you cant get those...
