Seems like a couple of guys with more money than sense and figured all their decals, branding and production skills qualified them to make cool overlanding videos.

Was fairly amusing to see how little they actually knew about what they were filming as soon as they got stuck. I.e. Avoid the big puddle completely before just driving through it because it looks cool.

Redneck Santa Claus made it for me, though.

Put in a sleeping platform w/storage. Got this awesome build from another TW member - @equalie (ask him to make one for you, if you are in search of a bed sleeping/storage system ;)
Got the cargo net and the d-ring tie downs for the roof too.
Just waiting for the led strip light and she's pretty much good to go

Me to man. And one day surfing Craigslist i came across a add for it. Practically stole it from the guy in my opinion! Stoked about it! Hopefully ill have it on this up coming week. Need to fab up some brackets to run some led pods in the open holes. Im thinking 2 3x2s on each side.

New prototype of front license plate bracket. Uses all 4 license plate screws while staying completely hidden behind the plate. Reversible so can raise or lower the plate by 1.25". Seems very solid and better plate protection than my original which is still a pretty solid bracket. Does require double the labor, triple the material and 8 additional fasteners in the assembly. Would have to charge double the price of my original. As I said it is merely a prototype. At least I have one for my truck now.

He just started building it recently but has taken it off road stock. I'm sure he's going to go full ham once his build is complete. He's definitely not a mall crawler.

275s will fit with no modification, you just pull the tire back towards the bumper a bit as your cranking it up.

Drove up to Utah so we could play with a couple of it’s Jeep friends, and get a little mud on the tires. E1F93269-7B0B-4392-99EA-5E045142230F.jpg

Super happy with the trucks performance, powered through everything. The Jeep guys were impressed with what the sport could do. Had no problems keeping up with the jeeps. I bypassed a couple extreme obstacles, they both had front and rear lockers and better ground clearance, but it was fun watching them do the Hot Tubs and Tip over challenge. I was being a scaredy-cat and needed to insure I had a way to get back to SoCal. Did put a couple good gouges on the skids, but that’s why you spend the $ for them. Better a couple gouges than a damaged tranny or transfer case.
It’s going to take me a day with the pressure washer to get all the mud cleaned, but so worth it.

Installed a Retrax Pro cover. First major upgrade.

Grabbed it for list, because I was impatient and wanted the current promo for free yakima rails. If I was smart, I probably would have searched for a discount.

Pros: all aluminum, mostly flush design, super functional, built in t-slot rails, easy to install, didn't have to drop the bed rails or remove any mount points

Cons: expensive and eats into the bed space

Great for a long bed. Probably not so great for a short one.20181007_140156.jpg 20181007_140153.jpg 20181007_140116.jpg 20181007_140106.jpg
