Any tips on how to find spots like this in Washington or Oregon? Was it a matter of following service roads to these kinds of places? Always wanted to camp on bluffs like this but want to avoid campgrounds if possible

Lake Pleasant on my road trip a couple weeks ago! Was awesome to wake up and be right on the bank of the lake when it was 100+ degrees

Waking up in Colorado. Crazy how pictures don't do justice on how big the mountains in the background actually were here.

Without looking at a map, I think that's in the Tye River Valley area (maybe Jefferson Nat. Forest?). Nelson County, just south of Charlottesville. No more than a two hour ride for you from Culpeper.

Gooseberry Mesa, UT got a bit of rain early yesterday morning. Woke up at a ridiculous 6am to the rain dancing on my aluminum roof. Somehow got a fire going with my wet-ish wood. (Thanks propane torch)

Just joined, had to post a pic from son and my camping trip:

His is the silver 2006, mine is the white 2015. This is a site in the dispersed camping area northwest of Tarryall Lake in Colorado.
