Sounds like a good trip. So your buddy from work is now contemplating selling his Jeep for a taco...

Simple mistake. Think about how long we were at it. Completely understandable. Thought you'd want to know.

You probably have me on ignore because we appear to differ ideologically. That doesn’t mean we can’t get along. I owe you whiskey because I may have taken the grammatical thing a bit too far with you once.

Not gonna lie, its pretty sweet. Just thought its ironic we’ve heard 3 stories of broken Jeep axels this weekend.

The two I saw the guys were trying difficult step climbs, and used too much skinny pedal.

There is no fucking way these axle's would have gone in like the way you mentioned. Matter of fact I tried that and it didn't work for me. I had to hammer in one side and other side I hammered in but kinda fucked up the spline in the axle because it wasn't straight and now it's not going in. I'm done with this shiet for today. Will work on it next weekend.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Not sure if they're different from what I'm used to, but typically you just slide them in, rotate a little til you feel the splines match up, then they pop in unless something's wrong with the clip

This is how I do it. Sometimes you need a little muscle behind it once lined up. Your just fresh hands as your beat snd to weak from working all day.

The first gen CVS have a nice little lip on the inner part that you can put a prybar on and tap with a hammer to pop em in

    Thanks for the trip report!

Sounds like a typical Rubicon trip... plan for one thing and end up with another.

If I’m thinking straight I think I blew out a hub on that hill coming back (going up) from the little sluice that you winched on. It’s a good one.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the 3rd gens are somehow slightly different.

    Ask @Bentrodder about that one....

Is it due to a front locker that I got installed? These things are definitely not just sliding in with little push even with shiet load of grease.
