Man, the idea of living in Colorado is so alluring, but that looks gnarly. Hope to make at least one trip out there this winter to see what it's like out there. Getting tired of my [lack of] scenery in Florida.

 

Breck side of Hoosier pass. Had to go slow anyways since I'm towing the dump trailer. There was 3-4" on the truck this morning and its supposed to snow most of the day.

Good tires and take it slow... Saw 4 morons on the side of the pass. Thankfully CSP issues nice tickets for not having good tires.

I think CSP is going to start cracking down a lot harder based on the number of people moving here and have no idea how to drive in the snow. Highway 70 has a sign up that says "Winter is coming, do you have snow tires?"

 

I am really glad they started issuing fines for tires

 

Yep I'm pretty sure that's the exact reason. I try to avoid driving over the passes on the weekends. The last few years have been super fucky chaos.

Yup, the electronic signs have warned people for at least a week that the tread restriction or whatever it's called is on effect.

Volvo from Pennsylvania was stopped near the top half on the road with no traction. Go get um csp!

Do itt. I made the move out here from Florida like 5 months ago and I have absolutely zero regrets.

 

I want city of lakewood to close due to snow..... if that happens we get a paid snow day at work. Realistically i'll settle for 12+" snow storms.

wife already threatened to take the 4runner to work if it snows "hard"

Have had some weird stuff happen in the past couple months here and was thinking of bailing, but, having never seen winter out there, figured I should probably visit at least once before packing my shit and heading for the snow haha

 

all these 40-50 degree sunny days coming up are going to be rough
