Parked along Lake Michigan shore drinking beer and cops walking around checking IDs. If you were under 18 you had to dump your beer, no fines or tickets. Cops would just ask us clean up when we were done.

Remember metal foot tubs or wash tubs? My grandparents had a couple of those and we had to wash our feet in them before we went in their house because, you know, barefoot.

We would take my Scout, a keg and about 8-10 people (all in my Scout) and go outside of town. Instant party! That's why I got my first Toyota. Got tired of hauling everyone around. No room in the Toyota!

One of the stories goes that Ford did a ton of research leading up to the launch of the Edsel line, but by the time they finally got around to launching it public preferences had changed. Coupled with a recession in '58 and a ton of QC problems the Edsel brand didn't do very well or last very long

    Bill,
My earliest memories of Mc Donalds was a tile looking one one with the arches.
Burgers were 15c, cheeseburgers were 20c I think and fries 5c.
    Big Macs weren't invented yet.

There was one in Bilgeport ct that looked like this one....
