The local group of mostly jeeps heads out there a few times a year. Most camp out and make it a weekend. I haven't made the trip yet, but they seem to have a few events that look fun.

They have a truck and jeep week next week I was thinking about checking it out. I'm still mostly stock but I called them and they said they have stock friendly trails.

I have an annual hunting trip or else i would join you. Maybe next year. Although i think if it was up to me, I'd choose the AOAA meet just to meet a few TW people.

I haven't made it to any meets yet. I am going to plan a couple next year. I am interested in greens and blues myself. I don't think i can handle the blacks, well I'm not ready for potential body damage yet. I don't have the armor yet to not care either. I am hoping for sliders next spring, and that should be good enough for some decent wheeling. I'd love to do bumpers on top of that, but probably wont unless i find a really good localish deal. If not, I'll just wait until i can get what i want.

I've never been to a park, so i assume that they follow the ski trail marking. What are the blues like? Were you nervous being all stock?

Phoenix is definitely closer to me as well. I think it is just over an hour or so. That is what makes it so appealing to the local group. There is another one around me, but i can't remember the name of it. Stiller Motorsports owns it i believe. There is also a decent local spot that @M192 and i ran once near Kitanning. It was not terrible, but i would recommend at least a lift and 33's. I was fine, but my trailer harness plug took a hit. It was a decent little place though. There were only a couple places that were narrow enough to worry about scratches. I would recommend a spring time run if anything.

Aoaa greens were a little tight blues were tight and rocky I also bent my trailer plug doing a hill no body damage got plenty of pinstripes I had to buff out but you can't even tell,at the meet last year they did a good job of making groups for all skill levels with great trail leaders. I just did the 885 bilstien lift with Dakar and spc uca's still running stock size tires with no armor hoping to get tires soon would definitely like to meet up with some western pa folks.

I have a very similar set up. 887 springs, but will probably swap to 886 once i get my bumper on the front. Did you go with OME or Bilstein shocks? I went with the softer valved Nitrocharger 90021 up front, and 90000 in the rear. My friends compliment me all the time on how it handles off-road. Pretty happy with it so far. It is really nice without the sway bar, but i had to get used to it. I scored a nice set of skids from @Urineovrurhead. I just need to get my exhaust re-routed for the transfer skid.

I got some rash, but it wasn't too bad. I need to buff and wax, but i usually do that once in spring and call it good. I also would like to meet up with some western PA people and do some light wheeling. There seems to be a few from the Pittsburgh area, but i missed the meet a couple months ago.

I did the bilstein 5100's front and rear rides pretty good I'm still undecided how I want to go with my truck getting a boat soon so I really don't want to add to much weight or compromise performance with heavy tires may get extra tires to put on stock wheels for mild offroading not looking to beat truck up to much yet

Depending on the size of the boat you should be fine with 33's. I went the tall, skinny route. They are mostly E-rated so heavy. It pulls fine though. I haven't had much over 3,000 on it. I have a 6-speed though, so i just leave it in 4th and it works great. Plenty of power, and doesn't get too bad for RPM with these rural local roads. I've also thought about getting a second set of wheels so i could run an AT in winter and save the mudders.
