First trip with the new CVT tent and I'm stoked. Woke up to this sunrise, doesn't get much better...

    Sounds like a fun trip.

Costco sells firewood? Is it real wood, or the duraflame type logs?
What is that axe mount you have? Does it lock?

I'm new to this outdoors stuff. I might have called the logs the wrong name. The box doesn't say duraflame, but I guess it's like those. They're 9 logs in a box, each wrapped in paper, it seems, that you can use to light the logs on fire with; 3hrs flame duration... It's like these (old ad I found real quick, but I think that's them) https://www.frugalhotspot.com/2012/...ain-ultraflame-natural-firelog-9-count-19-99/ Anyway, I wanted to learn how to baton them to smaller pieces. Ended up practicing splitting the logs a friend brought over.

The axe mount is by Front Runner, same company as the bed rack. It's all bolt on, so it'd be good to secure another way. Axe can be locked via small pad lock on the mount at the handles end.

    I saw this...
    followed by this...
and thought, "Is that a river of... beer?" lol! It's a secret mountain beer spring that has an endless flow of free beer. People would have a hard time leaving their campsite if camping there.

I really need to get a roof rack for my truck... I have a foxwing awning but no where to mount it (I'm not 100% sure if mounting it to my mid-height RCI rack will work as it's pretty dang long and the rack is low. I used a tarp this past weekend coming from the rainfly rods on my RTT and the poles from my awning as a poor mans canopy lol

I don't have any pictures of my setup actually set up. But this was at lodgepole campgrounds at sequoia national park.

First time in sequoia, never heard of Roads end. Also not experienced/atlethically fit enough to backpack it.

If you have time drive down to Cedar Grove >roads end....have lunch at store/ cafe by the river... you are about 25 mile from it. If you’re still close

    Epic drive

socalktk is correct. Costco sells it for a cheaper price at around $169. That's where I got it. I noticed that some from TacomaWorld got it for an even cheaper price, like somewhere around $120, a few months back.
