Trying to get some ideas on fixing up my new Tacoma.

 

There's no shortage of ideas around here

 

That's why I joined, I'm on my third Taco, got rid of a 2017 TRD Pro and regretted it. Had to replace it.

Dang! What you have in mind for the truck?

 

Replace the tin foil bumpers. With BSM, kinda tuff finding a steel bumper
to incorporate BSM, Prob have to custom modify a aftermarket Steel Bumper
for the sensors.
Better tires for off road, don't wish to get stuck with those stock Michelin road tires,
Maybe some rims, right now they are 18" diameter rims. Trying to keep same tire diameter or height for speedo.

Thanks, will check it out. I am not going to crazy, Just enough for the mud, and some hill country stuff.

 

I will post some stuff as I am modifying, will get some pictures of before and after shots.

I am up to two hundred miles so far. Another four hundred or so miles till it is broke in
or until some knucklehead drivers in Houston smashes it up on I-59, I-10.

 

Good luck a lot of people say that myself included...before you know it you see a couple decked out badass tacos then you go derp mode.

 

Unless my computer is off for MPG, It is saying 23.5 mpg for mostly highway and around 18 in City.

Not bad for 4x4.
